Do I need an appointment to visit the pharmacy?
No appointment is needed for most NHS services and prescription collections. However, private services like ear wax removal, blood tests, and weight management may require a booked appointment — please contact your local branch.
How can I order my prescriptions through CarePoint Pharmacy?
You can request your repeat prescriptions through your GP as usual and nominate CarePoint Pharmacy to collect it on your behalf. Once ready, we’ll prepare your medication and can offer free local delivery if needed.
Do both branches offer private services?
Both branches offer select private services. Airdrie provides a wider range including ear wax removal, private blood tests, and a travel clinic. Auchinleck offers vitamin B12 injections and weight management.
Can I access NHS services without seeing my GP?
Yes. Through Pharmacy First and Pharmacy First Plus, you can receive treatment and even prescriptions directly from our pharmacist for many common conditions.
What are blister packs and who can use them?
Blister packs (Monitored Dosage Systems) are available to help patients take their medication correctly. They're ideal for people on multiple medications or carers supporting others.
